I am honored to be a member of the Johns Hopkins Molecular Tumor Board (2021-present), which reviews cases of patients with advanced disease that have exhausted traditional therapeutic routes, and explores molecularly informed treatment options. Despite the geographical distance, I am grateful to continue to work on the preparation of the cases discussed weekly. During the academic year 2021-2022, I worked as a research assistant at the JH Molecular Oncology Lab, conducting cfDNA extractions from LBs of esophageal ca patients enrolled in an IO clinical trial at JHH. To maintain my exposure to research, I joined UoA’s A’ Pathology Research Lab, focusing on molecular oncology projects.
